Treatments
During the initial visit, there is an extensive ‘intake’ of
patient information to create a composite diagnosis. This involves
questions about one’s physical, mental, and emotional state;
careful analysis of the tongue and pulses; palpation of the abdomen;
and examination of the skin, body odors, voice, posture, and
movement.
An individual treatment plan is then formulated to induce the
body to accelerate its own natural healing process. An acupuncture
treatment is performed with thin and flexible FDA-approved needles
that are sterile, single use and disposable, by inserted needles
into various acupuncture points the flow of Qi is improved. Some
of sensations reported by patients during a treatment range from
not noticing any difference to feeling a tingling and pressure.
